Renovation Project 2

This project was  a three phase project.

Phase 1 involved a 20' x 40' addition which houses a 10' x 35' indoor swimming pool on the basement level and a combination dining room and sitting room on the main level off of the kitchen.  The pool had to be installed and the addition built around it.  Closed cell foam insulation was  a must on this job as well as a dedicated HVAC system and dehumidification system to handle the unique nature of an indoor pool room.

Phase 2 involved the enclosure of an existing porte-cochere. The space was enclosed and used to house the new mud room entry.  Reclaimed brick flooring and custom lockers for all of the children's coats and gloves were added to help keep everything in it's place.

Phase 3 came after the addition was closed in.  We moved on to a complete renovation of an existing living room, kitchen and dining area.  The kitchen and dining area were combined to house the new larger kitchen featuring custom cabinets, travertine flooring, soapstone and marble counters and a pass through butlers pantry.  The living room was updated and opened up to the new addition.  The space was finished with reclaimed oak floors, large columns and a custom bar with granite was added for entertaining.  The dining room was finished with the same reclaimed oak floors and a coffered ceiling.  A 5' x 17' custom dining table fills the space ands seats up to 18 people.

Customer testimonial:

Jon,

Thanks so much to you and your team for doing such a great job on our renovation and barn project!

This project was big for us and we knew there were going to be multiple subcontractors involved.  We were looking for a general contractor who could not only do their own work well, but also represent our needs in coordinating the work of all of the subcontractors. We couldn’t have asked for a better partner over the past year. You were with us every step of the way; keeping us informed at every turn, staying flexible along the way, and making sure we had all the information we needed to make decisions and effectively managing the schedule and costs throughout the entire project.

Now that the project is done, the quality of the workmanship really comes through.  We can’t tell you how thrilled we are with everything; you helped us to transform our 15-year-old house in to a new home!

Sincerely,

Nancy & Charlie
